Light string FAQs

What is the difference between the 24v and 230v light strings?

The 24v range is low-voltage and IP67-rated, driven from a transformer, which makes it the safer choice on trees and around the public. The 230v range plugs straight into a standard mains supply for simple, high-output installs. Both connect end to end.

Are the light strings connectable?

Yes. Sets link end to end to cover large areas, with the 24v range running from a transformer and the 230v range from a mains supply.

What colours and effects can I choose from?

Warm white, white and a range of colours, in both static and twinkling effects, so you can match the look to the scheme.

Do the 24v strings need a transformer?

Yes. The 24v range is low-voltage, so it runs from a transformer, available in our accessories. The 230v range plugs straight into mains with no transformer needed.

Are the light strings suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. They are built for repeated outdoor installation, and the 24v range carries an IP67 rating for full protection against water and dust.
