Our products are supplied with a manufacturer's warranty, the length of which varies by product range. Warranty information can be found on individual product pages or obtained from our team before purchase. Products & technical

What is the difference between IP ratings?

IP (Ingress Protection) ratings indicate how well a product is protected against dust and water.

  • IP20: Suitable for indoor use in dry environments.
  • IP44: Protected against splashing water and suitable for sheltered outdoor use.
  • IP65: Dust-tight and protected against water jets, making it suitable for most outdoor installations.
  • IP67/IP68: Designed for harsher environments and temporary or continuous water immersion (depending on the rating).

If you're unsure which IP rating is required for your project, our team will be happy to advise.

What does 'VDE' cable mean?

VDE refers to a recognised German and European certification standard that confirms a cable has been independently tested to meet relevant safety and performance requirements. Products featuring VDE-approved cable are commonly specified where durability, reliability, and compliance are important considerations.

How many lights can I run from a single power supply?

The number of lights you can run from a single power supply depends on the voltage, wattage, cable lengths, and the power consumption of each fitting. As a general rule, the total connected load should not exceed the rated capacity of the power supply. Product datasheets will usually specify the maximum number of compatible fittings, or you can contact us with your project details for a tailored recommendation.
